Should gay marriage be legal?

Same sex marriage

The tide of marriage for same-sex couples has ebbed and flowed over the last decade with no end in sight. Because marriage sits squarely at the intersection of religion, law and society, the discussion around same-sex couples’ inclusion into the institution of marriage has been one of the most complex and hotly contested topics in America.

  1. I belive gay marriage is almost as equal as the opposed sex, because as long as you love someone people don't need to tell you, who you should marrie with. It's known that this topic has caused a lot of controversy all over the world but right now we are in the twenty-first century, so lots of changes has been made. there is a lot of people who still against gay marriage but countries like argentina or spain had legalize gay marriage, they have made a few changes in their laws to support these people. of course there are a lot of negative things in this theme because of the several diseases that are mostly common in gay people, but as long as you have one copuple and you're faithful to that person there's no reason to not marrie that peson it doesn't matter if it is your same sex or the opposed sex.

  2. well I think gay marriage is something different to everybody and to the comunity but i think that everyone has the right to decide about if they like their same sex because i have a cousin who is gay and he wants to marriege and i support it. now a days, the gay marriage can adopt babies and of course this happens in countries and cities whose citizens have a differents thought from this country. And gay people are human beings and they deserve the ame right that all the people and if people of the opposed sex can marrie why people of the same sex can't? that's a question that we all should made before say something hurtful to them. and they have the right to star a family, so it's a lot all the things that they had to being trought before came out of the closet to also jugde them because they want to have a normal life with the peron they love even if it is the same sex.

  3. Well I really think that everybody has the right to be whatever they are. Nowadays it is stupid to talk about repression and discrimination because people do not choose to be gay, it is a condition with which they are born and no one should judge homosexuals.
I think our sex life is not of concern to other people, the important thing is that none hurt the other and while homosexuals do not disrupt the heterosexuals’ life or and vice versa there should be no problem. Everyone has the right to marry and raise a family, anywhere in the world. This is how it should be.
I do not believe in any religion, do not think anybody really know what is god and I sincerely think that there are many more problems in the world such as hunger, war and ignorance that we should worry about.

  5. I don't believe that to be gay is a sin, but it depends on the point of view of the religion that every person practice. I think that as a woman likes a man and vice versa since they're teenagers, It's completely normal that a young man likes another, and a young woman likes another. So as they're human beings with rights I'm not against gay marriage, I know that in many states from The US It's legal, and in Argentina and Spain It's legal too, so what's the issue, I believe that we as society should grow and let behind all prejudices about this matter, because anyway if someone is against this, this person is being chauvinist and retrograde. I respect all kinds of people, because inside we're all have the same heart and the same value. I have several gay friends, and I appreciate them a lot, if someday they decided to get married, even though if it's a symbolic ceremony, I will support them. I guess There's a discussion about this matter in the Assembly but I'm not sure of it.

  6. Well, gay marriage. Even nowadays a lot of people has gay friends and family too, bud when we have to talk about gay rights everything change is like, they can live whit us bud don't have the same rights? so then we are not accepting them at all .Of course that i don't believe that being gay is a sin and i totally agree whit gay marriage why ? for the simple fat that i know gay people and everybody does, it mean they exist and it is just for that they have rights like any other. They are human beings they love they hates, they feel and deserves to be respected.I think that it is amazing that a gay person who is in love can fight against so many people for his or her rights that is true love.Everybody talk about freedom. human rights, and say not to discrimination well this have to be for every single person in the world we can not just choose with a finger who deserves those things.

  7. I personally think that homosexuality is not a disease but rather a human sexual orientation, everyone has the right to be free and live your life as you see fit. Many lesbian and gay issues are given due to problems at home, childhood traumas, problems of acceptance, inner fears and so many reasons or simply due to improper habits of everyday life. I have known gay couples living together and for them is as natural as a marriage either.

Gay marriage is not a sin just that the church is in total disagree with gay marriage because the only thing that is causing the hatred and homophobia can even trigger aggressive crimes and violence against gay people. For this the Catholic Church , its hierarchy and faithful lay Catholics have always recognized marriage as a loving plan of God made man and woman in his image and has participated in its creative power to convey the gift of life.
